91md´«Ã½ of Medicine Hosts Women with Heart Luncheon
17th annual event will focus on women’s cardiovascular health and raise funds for 91md´«Ã½ student scholarships.
ATLANTA, GA – JANUARY 22, 2026 – 91md´«Ã½ of Medicine (91md´«Ã½) will host its 17th annual Women with Heart Luncheon on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in the Oceans Ballroom at the Georgia Aquarium, 225 Baker Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30313.
Dr. Sandra B. Nichols, a heart transplant survivor, will serve as the keynote speaker for the event which highlights cardiovascular disease in women and raises funds for 91md´«Ã½ student scholarships. WSB-TV news anchor, Karyn Greer, will serve as mistress of ceremonies.
In addition to remarks from 91md´«Ã½ of Medicine President and CEO Valerie
Montgomery Rice, MD, FACOG, and the event's co-chairs, the luncheon will feature an
engaging panel discussion designed to make women more aware of their risk for heart
disease. The panelists will include open heart surgery survivors Kimberly Goodloe,
Elois Edge and Beatrice Lynn, with Essence Magazine Editor At Large Mikki Taylor serving
as moderator.
Begun in 2009, the luncheon coincides with American Heart Month, observed in February
of each year. Women with Heart is a volunteer support organization founded by Mrs.
Eilene Maupin that is dedicated to raising student scholarship funds, promoting healthy
lifestyles, and increasing community awareness about heart health and cardiovascular
disease.
