More in Common Alliance Leader Receives Inspirational Award
The American Medical Women鈥檚 Association (AMWA) has announced that More in Common Alliance Chief Administrative Officer, Dr. Veronica T. Mallett is being recognized as one of the recipients of the 2025 AMWA INSPIRE Award. This annual award celebrates women physicians who exemplify the highest values of vision, integrity, service, and mentorship in medicine and healthcare.
The AMWA INSPIRE Award is an annual program of the AMWA Leadership Council that honors women physicians who inspire others because of their dedication to healthcare, compassion for patients, leadership, advocacy, or community service. Recipients of the award are nominated by colleagues, mentees, supervisors, trainees, or collaborators.
鈥淒uring Women in Medicine Month, AMWA takes a moment to celebrate women physicians who have been recognized for their positive impact on their peers,鈥 says Dr. Connie Newman, MD, a Past President of AMWA and Co-Chair of the AMWA Leadership Council. 鈥淓ach one of this year鈥檚 honorees is an exceptional woman physician working in private practice, academia, or in a community clinic dedicated to underserved populations.鈥
Dr. Mallett has received several leadership awards; National Medical Fellowship Excellence in Medical Education, 2023 Modern Healthcare Diversity Award, 2022 Athena Award, the Nashville Business Journal Women of Influence 2020, the Nashville Medical News 2018 Woman to Watch, and Nashville Healthcare Council fellow. She has authored over 100 articles, book chapters, and abstracts combined.
